Andrés Cepeda Biography
Andrés Cepeda is unquestionably one of the most well-known Colombian musicians currently active in the Latin American music industry. Since he started his career in 1990, this romantic composer and recipient of a Latin Grammy has been consistently impressing his audience with the many accomplishments he has achieved over the years. Cepeda feels that love provides the ideal pretext for exploring a variety of musical styles while simultaneously giving lyrics that have a strong emotional value.
He was born on July 7, 1973, in Bogota (Columbia), where his home environment was full of music at the time of his birth. Cepeda discovered an invitation to begin composing in rock en espaol while he was still in school. As a result, he came up with the concept of getting together with his friends to create music. It was in 1990 that he founded the rock band Poligamia, which was located in Bogota. He was a member of the band for a total of eight years, during which time they released four albums that were commercially successful. They are most known for the tracks “Fade” and “Mi Generación,” which are now considered to be classics in their discography.
