Depeche Mode Biography
According to their profile on MTV.com, post-punk pop group Depeche Mode has become “the most successful ‘electro-synth’ band ever” thanks to their innovative use of computer technology in the 1980s. In England, Depeche Mode has been popular almost since the band’s inception in 1981.
But, in the United States, the band only had a sizable cult following before the release of Violator in 1990.
