Kerry Ingram Biography

 



Kerry Danielle Ingram, an English actress, was born on May 26th, 1999 in the United Kingdom. She is best recognized for her roles as Shireen Baratheon in the series Game of Thrones, which is shown on HBO, and Rebecca ‘Becky’ Sidebottom in the series Free Rein, which is broadcast on Netflix. Both of these shows are currently airing. Prior to being cast in the role of Matilda, Ingram appeared at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in a number of productions, including Oliver!, in which she played the role of a workhouse youth. She was selected to play the lead role in the production of Matilda the Musical that was staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon between the months of November 2010 and January 2011.

She was the only original Matilda to make it to the West End cast, and she played the role of Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre alongside three other young girls. She was the only original Matilda to make the move to the West End cast. Only a few short months after she left the production, she was presented with the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in April of 2012. This was shortly after she had been nominated for the award. After wrapping up her work on Matilda, she had a role in the film adaptation of Les Misérables directed by Tom Hooper, where she played in a supporting capacity. Ingram portrayed Shireen Baratheon in the third through fifth seasons of the fantasy television series Game of Thrones, which aired on HBO between the years 2013 and 2015. The show ran from 2013 through 2015.
