Irfan Bachdim Biography
Irfan Bachdim was born on August 11, 1988. He’s the backup striker who also helps out on the wings. He was a former soccer star in Indonesia, best remembered for his time with Persema Malang. When playing for SV Argon, he scored the most goals in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. Noval Bachdim, Bachdim’s father, is an Indonesian citizen of mixed Arab and Indonesian ancestry born in Malang. He made his home in Lawang, Malang, until the 1980s, when he relocated to the Netherlands, where he remained for the next two decades.
Amsterdam is home to the Bachdims. Bachdim’s grandpa, Ali Bachdim, is also a TNI Angkatan Laut veteran. Bachdim never had to go through the naturalization procedure to play for or in Indonesia because he was already a citizen the whole time. Bachdim comes from a long line of soccer players. In the 1980s, Noval Bachdim played for PS Fajar Lawang, an internal rival of Persekam in Malang. On the other hand, Ali Bachdim has played for both Persema Malang and PSAD Jakarta in the past. When Bachdim played the Vietnamese national football team in Hanoi, he met his hero, Max Caubo.
