Tracy Chevalier Biography

 



Although Tracy Chevalier was born in Washington, District of Columbia, she has spent her whole adult life in England. She can now claim citizenship in two countries. She attended Oberlin College in Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, and she attended the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, where she earned her Master of Arts in creative writing. She has an English husband and a son, and the three of them make their home in London.

She spent a number of years working as a reference book editor prior to devoting her entire career to writing. She is the author of seven different novels.
