Helen Fielding Biography

 

Fielding was born on February 19, 1958. Modern English author and screenwriter Helen Fielding. The novel Bridget Jones’s Diary catapulted her to fame. In addition, her novel was named the Best Novel of the Year in the United Kingdom.

Her dad was the head of a local industry where the family lived. She was twenty-four when he passed away. She attended Wakefield Girls High School and then went on to St. Anne’s College, Oxford, where she majored in English. She also met and became friends with famous people like Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis while performing in the Oxford revue at the 1978 Edinburgh Festival.
