He entered was born on May 28, 1994, in Phoenix, Arizona, as Alec Benjamin. No one in his family has any musical connection.
At school, he rarely interacted with others because he saw no use in doing so. He, too, gave his career little thought. But when he got older and discovered Paul Simon, Eminem, and Dr. Dre, he developed a serious appreciation for music.

When he was a senior in high school, he began training his voice through independent study. The father was an amateur musician. Alec once started teaching himself guitar on his father’s old instrument. Despite his interest in the guitar, he never took lessons. He learned a lot about guitar through watching “YouTube” videos.
