Jeff Bezos is a prominent American entrepreneur. Jeffrey Preston Bezos was born on January 12, 1965, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1994, Bezos started the e-commerce behemoth Amazon in the garage of his home in Seattle. Amazon was first an online bookstore, but it eventually expanded to sell a wide variety of products. In July 2021, he resigned from his position as CEO to take on the role of executive chairman instead.

In his roles as founder and CEO of Amazon.com, Inc., he played a significant role in the development of online shopping. Amazon expanded rapidly under his leadership, becoming the most successful online retailer and setting the standard for business conducted over the Internet.
