Hulya Avsar Biography

 

Hulya Avsar was born on 10 October 1963. In addition to performing and acting, she is the editor of the journal Hulya. She has published several albums, the most notable of which is Hulya Gibi and Hayat Boyle. Before beginning her career in acting in 1983, she competed in and won several beauty pageants while a professional swimmer. As a coach on Turkey’s version of The Voice, she rose to stardom in reality television.

Her sister is also an actress with the stage name Helin Avsar. She was married to Kaya Cilingiroglu for eight years, during which time she brought up a daughter named Zehra. Throughout the 1980s, she was connected romantically to the football player Tanju Colak. Actress, pop-folk singer, businesswoman, journalist, fashion designer, magazine editor, professional tennis player, and past beauty contest winner Hulya Avsar is of Kurdish and Turkish descent.
