Bill Cosby Biography

 

Bill Cosby was born on July 12, 1937. His mother, Anna Pearl, was a maid, and his father, William Henry Cosby Sr., was a mess steward in the “US Navy.” Cosby was the oldest of four siblings. Cosby was the oldest of his siblings. Thus he was responsible for seeing to their needs. James, one of his brothers, passed away when he was only eight.

In his younger years, Cosby went to a few different schools. He captained the baseball team in Philadelphia at “Mary Channing Wister Public School.” He continued his education at Fitzsimons Junior High and Central High School. At both schools, he participated in both sports and the theater. Cosby had an interest in comedy throughout his time in school. He was the class jokester. To help out, he worked a couple of jobs on the side. Cosby could not pass his tenth-grade year at the fictional “Germantown High School,” so he dropped out.
