Troye Sivan Biography

 

Troye Sivan Mellet is a YouTuber, actor, model, and singer who was born in South Africa. He is best known for his roles in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine franchise, Boy Erased, and The Spud Franchise (2018). When he was just two years old, his family uprooted and moved to Perth in Australia. Troy was raised in a Modern Orthodox household alongside his two brothers and one sister. The family relocated to Melbourne the following year (2018).


Troye currently resides in Los Angeles, where he owns a home. As of October 2018, he has amassed over 6.6 million subscribers on YouTube, and his videos include a wide variety of content, from covers of popular songs to videos of original songs and music videos. One of his earlier videos, titled “The Boyfriend Tag,” and filmed in collaboration with another YouTube star named Tyler Oakley, even won a Kid’s Choice award in the year 2014.
