Tarkan Biography
Tarkan Tevetoglu, better known simply as Tarkan and having been born on October 17, 1972, is a singer-songwriter who is of Turkish and German descent. Since the early 1990s, he has been a significant figure in Turkish pop music, thanks to the excellent sales of his albums. He is renowned in both Turkey and Europe. Alzey, which is located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is where Tarkan spent his childhood.
The year 1986 marked the year that he and his family made the move to Turkey. Tarkan, who had an interest in music ever since he was a child, attended Karamursel High School, where he also received instruction in music. In the years that followed, he became acquainted with Mehmet Sogutoglu, the proprietor of Istanbul Plak, and as a result, negotiated a contract to have his own record released.
