Sandara Park Biography
Sandara Park, whose given name is Dara and who was born on November 12, 1984 in Busan, South Korea, is a member of the vocal section of the Korean girl group 2NE1 and a television personality. Her given name is Sandara Park. She is a native Korean who emigrated to the Philippines many years ago and became a star in Filipino films and television shows. Her unusual three-syllable Korean name comes from that of a Korean general named Kim Yushin, whose childhood name was “Sandara”.
She has discussed the origin of her name numerous times during interviews, and her name comes from Kim Yushin. Sandara was born in a wealthy household to parents of Korean descent. Sandara’s relatives put her in a difficult financial situation when she was only eight years old, which in turn crippled her father’s business. Sandara’s father died when she was eight years old. Sandara’s dad went to the Philippines in the hopes of getting away from all of this stress and feeling better soon.
