Eugenio Derbez Biography

 

Eugenio González Derbez was born on September 2, 1961, in Mexico City, which is also where he spent his childhood. He began displaying an interest in acting at a young age, and by the time he was 12 years old, he had already landed his first job, working as an extra in soap operas. After finishing his training at the Centro de Educacion Artistica and the Mexican Film Institute, he was offered a position in the Mexican television comedy series “Cachn Cachn Ra Ra!”. This was his first time appearing on television. Immediately after that, in 1997, he directed for the first time a Mexican soap opera called “No Tengo Madre,” which was eventually shown on television.

In addition, he went on to seek a career in filmmaking, earning a degree in Film Directing from the Mexican Institute of Cinematography and Theater in the process of doing so. Today, we celebrate him and everything that he has accomplished. Derbez, who hails from Mexico and is widely regarded as one of the country’s most successful comedy performers and directors, has been in a large number of films and television programs that have received positive reviews. Regular appearances on weekly Mexican television shows were made by him beginning in the late 1980s and continuing into the early 1990s.
