Carmen Ejogo Biography
Her mother’s family is from Scotland, while her father’s family is from Nigeria. Her beginnings in the television industry may be traced back to the early 1990s in the United Kingdom when she hosted the children’s program Saturday Disney (1990). After that, she moved to the United States and began a career as an actress there. In addition to her roles in films such as Metro (1997) with Eddie Murphy, What’s the Worst That Could Happen?
(2001) with Martin Lawrence, and Love’s Labour’s Lost (2000) with Kenneth Branagh, she has also hosted her own video show, “The Carmen Ejogo Video Show,” which aired on BSB’s Power Station channel. This show was called “The Carmen Ejogo Video Show.” She is well known for her roles as Sally Hemings, the slave concubine of Thomas Jefferson in the television drama Sally Hemings: An American Scandal (2000) and as Sister Anderson in the remake version of the cult classic original film Sparkle. Both of these roles were performed in the year 2000.
