Demi Moore Biography

 

In Roswell, New Mexico, in 1962, Demi Moore made her debut in the world. Prior to Demi’s birth, her father Charles Harmon divorced her mother Virginia Guynes, whose maiden name was King. Her life was not made any more stable by her stepfather Danny Guynes, who was also not very supportive. He switched professions regularly and moved the family a total of forty times during the course of his career.

Guynes’ parents did not stop drinking, fighting with one other, or hitting him until he ultimately took his own life. At the age of 16, Demi decided to pursue a career as a pin-up girl instead of continuing her education. She wed rock musician Freddy Moore when she was 18 years old, and their marriage lasted for four years. She started appearing in the daytime soap series General Hospital when she was 19 years old (1963).
