Gong Yoo Biography

 



Gong yoo a well-known actor in South Korean cinema and television, is better known by his stage name, Gong Yoo. He was a model before he started his career in the entertainment industry as a video jockey on Mnet. He was born into a family that belonged to Busan’s high class. After making his debut in the television series ‘School 4’ back in 2001, he went on to make a number of guest appearances in a wide variety of movies and television programmes. His first role as a male lead on television was in the show ‘Hello My Teacher.’ In spite of the audience’s lackluster reception to the show, he was afforded sufficient opportunities to display at least some of the acting skills he has thanks to the show.

Then, in 2007, he landed his breakout part in the film “The First Shop of Coffee Prince,” which was an acting chance. Since then, he has established himself as one of the South Korean entertainment industry’s most known actors on a global scale, and he is currently working in that sector. He has served as the presenter of game shows, appeared in music videos, and been honoured with a number of accolades. In 2008, at the pinnacle of his professional success, he enrolled in the military in order to fulfil his constitutional obligation. After an absence of close to two years, he went back into the sector and found that it was first difficult for him to get back on his feet. His career, on the other hand, has had a significant renaissance over the course of the last two years.
