He portrayed Knox in the YTV series Some Assembly Required in 2014, and he appeared in all three seasons of the program until its cancellation in 2016. Playfair joins the Disney Descendants series in 2017, appearing in Descendants 2 and Descendants 3 as Gil, Gaston’s son. For the forthcoming thriller Dangerous Game: The Legacy Murders, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jon Voight, Collider can exclusively premiere a brand-new trailer.
The film centers on a family that becomes stranded within their home and is forced to participate in a perilous murder mystery board game in which they compete to survive. After Ellison informs Joy, his son’s fiancée, to keep an eye out for him since he’s a crook who stole the family’s business, what should have been a happy reunion turns into an ego clash. After his father almost destroyed their pharmaceutical firm, Kyle claims to have salvaged their riches. This short interaction is filled with profanity and hatred, which should serve as a prelude to the evening’s game of lies and betrayals that the Betts will play. Hockey has been a part of Jim Playfair’s life for his whole life.
