Alexa PenaVega Biography

 

Alexa Ellesse PenaVega was born on August 27, 1988, in Miami, Florida. During her teenage years, Alexa Vega became famous for her role as Carmen Cortez in the “Spy Kids” films. Vega is also a singer and dancer. Vega’s ancestry spans Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the United States. Beginning her career on the CBS series ‘Evening Shade’ at the tender age of five, she went on to star in a number of other television programs and films aimed at children. Her professional life began at CBS.

After starring in the hit film “Spy Kids” and its two sequels, “Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams” and “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over,” she gained recognition as a role model for today’s youth. Over a decade and a half later, in the third and final installment of the Spy Kids trilogy titled “All the Time in the World,” she repeated her role. Since she was a young age, Vega was quite active, therefore she did all of her own stunts in the “Spy Kids” films. Vega’s interest in the series dates back many years.
