Jeremy Scahill Biography
Jeremy Scahill was born on 18 October 1974. An American author, investigative journalist, and founding editor of the online news publication The Intercept, Jeremy Scahill is a prominent figure in the media industry. In addition to that, he is the author of the book “Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army,” which was honored with the George Polk Book Award. The 18th of October 1974 was the day Scahill was born. It was published by Nation Books on April 23, 2013, and given the title “Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield.” Documentary film with the same name as the book was released in theaters on June 8, 2013. Scahill was not only responsible for the film’s production but also for its narration and co-writing. In 2013, it was presented for the first time anywhere at the Sundance Film Festival.
Before coming to the conclusion that “time would be better spent by entering the struggle for justice in this country,” Jeremy attended a few of the University of Wisconsin’s regional campuses as well as a nearby technical college. After dropping out of college, Scahill spent a number of years volunteering in shelters for the homeless on the East Coast.
