Mark Zuckerberg Biography

 



Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born in New York on May 14, 1984. Edward Zuckerberg’s father was a dentist, and Karen Zuckerberg worked as a psychiatrist. All three of his sisters—Arielle, Randi, and Donna—are his. Zuckerberg’s ancestors came to the United States from Austria and Germany; they were Jews. Mark and his sisters grew up in a religiously liberal Jewish household.

On May 19, 2012, Mark wed Priscilla Chan. Her parents came to the United States from Vietnam, and she was born there. She attended Harvard at first but later transferred to the University of California, where she earned her medical degree and specialized in pediatrics. Mark’s sophomore year in 2003 was when they first met at a party and began dating.  While attending medical school in Palo Alto, she and Mark settled into the same home in 2010.
