Noah Hawley Biography

 

Noah Hawley was born in 1967. New York City, New York is where Hawley spent his childhood and where he was born. His mother, Louise Armstrong, was an activist and non-fiction writer, and his maternal grandmother was a playwright. Both of his parents were writers. Tom Hawley, the guy who raised him, was successful in business. Alexi, his twin brother, is a writer for the television show The Following and the creator of the show State of Affairs. He also has a successful writing career himself.

In 1989, Hawley received a degree in political science from Sarah Lawrence College, where he had previously studied. During his time with the Legal Aid Society in New York City, he represented clients in matters involving the mistreatment and abandonment of children. After some time, he relocated to San Francisco, where he worked as a paralegal and at legal businesses where he did computer programming.
