Samira Wiley Biography
Samira Wiley was born on April 15th, 1987. Her parents, Dennis W. Wiley, and Christine Wiley were responsible for her upbringing. From a very early age, Samira had an interest in performing in front of an audience. She received her undergraduate education at the illustrious “Juilliard School” in New York City after completing her time at “The Duke Ellington School of the Arts.” In 2010, she received her diploma from the “Juilliard School.” Samira Wiley is a well-known American actress who has garnered acclaim for her outstanding work in television shows such as “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Orange Is the New Black.”
In addition to winning the renowned Screen Actors Guild Award for her role in ‘Orange Is the New Black,’ she was also nominated for an Emmy Award for her work in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’ In February 2015, she was honored by a charitable group known as the “Human Rights Campaign,” which bestowed upon her the “Visibility Award” as a token of their gratitude. Wiley has been in a number of significant parts in Hollywood films, including “Rob the Mob” and “Nerve.” Being Flynn, a drama film starring Robert De Niro, featured her as an actress at some point.
