Tom Kenny Biography

 

Tom Kenny spent the most of his childhood in East Syracuse, New York. When Tom was a kid, he liked to read comic books, make silly drawings, and collect records. After moving to Boston and San Francisco, Tom began doing stand-up comedy. This resulted in appearances on every cable program that was born out of the stand-up comedy craze that swept the country in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as stints on shows such as The Dennis Miller Show (1992), The Pat Sajak Show (1989), Late Night with Conan O’Brien (1993).


Tom was a regular on the Fox TV show The Edge (1992), and he also hosted NBC’s Friday Night Live for a period of one year (1983). His prominent television outings include the comedy series Brotherly Love (1995) and the comic flop The Preston Episodes, both starring David Alan Grier (1995).
