Rick Moranis Biography

 

Rick Moranis, whose real name is Frederick Allan “Rick” Moranis, is a Canadian film and television actor, as well as a musician who has been nominated for a Grammy. After a difficult period working as a radio disc jockey, he finally tasted success in his entertainment career in the 1980s when he appeared in one of the lead roles in the Canadian sketch comedy series ‘Second City Television.’

This was the first time he had tasted success in his entertainment career. He was one of the “McKenzie Brothers” together with Thomas Dave, and the satirical representation of stereotyped Canadian males that they did make them extremely popular not only with the audience in Canada but also among the audience in the United States. Thomas Dave was also one of the “McKenzie Brothers.”
