Marwan Kenzari Biography
Marwan Kenzari is a Dutch actor and comedian who hails from Tunisia but now resides in the Netherlands. In the Dutch crime drama Wolf, in which he plays the part of a newly paroled Moroccan immigrant straining to toe the line between a talented boxer and rising criminal enforcer, he won critical praise for his strong and gloomy performance. In the film, he portrays an individual who is attempting to find a balance between the two roles. In the live-action remake of Aladdin that Disney released in 2019, he played the role of Jafar for the company.
Kenzari was born to Tunisian parents on January 16, 1983, in The Hague, which is located in the Netherlands. When he was a teenager, he got his start in the acting business when a girl he was dating encouraged him and his friends to try out for the Dutch adaptation of the musical Chicago. Since 2008, he has worked as an actor in a variety of films and television programs in his home Netherlands. In recognition of his performance as Wolf in the feature film, he was awarded the Golden Calf, the Netherlands Film Festival’s highest acting honor, in the year 2013.
