Mike Denver Biography
Due in part to an intense touring schedule and consistent studio work, Mike Denver has carved out a career for himself as one of the most prominent country singers to come out of Ireland. Michael Fallon, the future singer, was given his name in Galway, and his upbringing was heavily influenced by his mother’s passion for country music. When he was 16 years old, he began touring Northern Ireland as a live performer with his mother. During the course of those early tours, his manager Willie Carty was able to see one of his performances and immediately took him under his wing to learn the ropes. In 2003, after a few years had passed, Denver had written and recorded his first album, which was titled Wings to Fly.
Throughout the years that followed, Denver maintained a busy touring schedule, while at the same time heading into the studio to regularly record full-length albums, such as Seasons in the Sun (2008), Vintage Country (2011), and There’s Only One Mike Denver (2013); perhaps the album that was the greatest highlight of his career was 2008’s Got a Funny Feelin’, which featured the legendary country singer George Jones. When Denver headlined the Dalriada LIVE event at Glenarm Castle in 2014, it was one of the most important performances of his career. Cut Loose, the artist’s yet other studio album, was released in the year 2016 by the prolific musician.
